Salary Range: $96,000 - $125,000

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their dynamic team in Monterey, CA. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing their clients' network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
As Sr. Network Engineer you will:

• Design, implement, and maintain complex network solutions for clients, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN configurations.
• Configure and optimize network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Perform network troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive network designs and solutions that meet clients' business requirements.
• Implement and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.
• Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend enhancements to improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our clients' networks.

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Engineering or a related role.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
• Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a timely manner.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, CISSP) are highly desirable.
