Cynergies Solutions Group is looking for qualified candidates for a Network Engineer position at our Memphis, TN area client.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Network Engineer is a focused role requiring switching, routing, wireless, and firewall skills. The role will support our internal customers globally, serving as a technical member for the Global Network Support Team and will be responsible for the implementation, qualification, security, support and operation of LAN and WAN solutions.

The key responsibilities are:

• Assists with multiple simultaneous network refresh projects consisting of the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrading of various network components (switches, firewalls, access points, etc.)
• Design, test and implement new wireless deployments using a variety of industry leading tools such as Ekahau AI Pro and Wireshark, etc.
• Manages network security operations through the detection, isolation, and remediation of all potential security risks to the network and data.
• Manages daily network operations, ensuring the Data Center and Enterprise networks are functioning at peak performance.
• Assists team members in developing new solutions as well as troubleshooting network and security issues.
• Implements new network and security products and creates processes for utilizing new technology to enhance the capabilities and efficiencies of managing the network and security infrastructure.
• Design local and wide area networks and maintains communication links, cables and devices.
• Manage Software Defined Network Environment (SDWAN)
• Experience and Skills we are looking for
• Comprehensive understanding of the OSI model and various networking architecture such as routing/switching, IP, TCP/UDP, and application layers such as HTTP, SMTP, etc.
• Relevant industry certification such as Cisco CCNA, CWNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.
• Thorough understanding of wireless networking technologies and protocols (802.11)
• Experience with wireless analysis tools such as Ekahau AI Pro and Wireshark.
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, Wireless LAN controller, Cisco Firewpower Firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, F5, SolarWinds Orion experience is a plus
• Customer oriented
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems, recommend solutions, and take independent action
• Flexibility to travel and to work non-standard hours from time to time (weekends for cuts, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
