Mount Indie is hiring a Network Engineer who enjoys working in a collegial but fast-paced environment dedicated to producing quality products. Qualified individuals must be self-motivated and able to work independently, but still function effectively as part of a larger integrated team. Strong writing and communication skills are preferred.
As a Network Engineer, you will assist in building, maintaining and developing in a lab dedicated to testing and integrating new systems into existing architecture/systems and assisting with their deployment. This lab will primarily use Red-Hat Linux and Linux-related products but other capabilities will be integrated as the lab grows. Growth will likely include working in virtual environments using VMWare and KVM, Dockers/Kubernetes, and AWS. Engineers on this team will also assist in the design of the architecture and assist in defining the lab roadmap. This lab will have tight coupling with LAN and WAN management and operation using connected network hierarchy (no wireless) with the goal of seamless end-to-end coordination.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology and 7 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with IT and network hardware (servers, workstations, routers, switches, in-line network encryption devices, etc.).
• Experience using Microsoft Office products including Visio to create network diagrams
• Current Security + certification
• Must be familiar with modem cybersecurity.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• US Citizens with active Top-Secret clearance or higher with the ability to pass a counterintelligence polygraph within 60 days of hire. Candidates already cleared for SCI may be given priority over other candidates.
Networking Specific Experience:
•Experience with DoD networks both WAN and LAN.
• Experience with General Dynamics KG series TACLANES (KG 175 highly preferred)
• Working knowledge configuring Cisco networking devices including routers and switches using Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI).
• Working knowledge of 1 Pv4 address allocation.
• Working knowledge of networking protocols and their implementation to include L2VPN, L3VPN, OSPF, BGP, DMVPN, static routes.
• Working knowledge of network security via firewalls (both software and hardware), ACL's, port security, etc.
• Experience with network testing/troubleshooting software tools such as iperf, nmap, wireshark, etc.
• Must have experience in trouble-shooting and fixing problems related networks and their interaction with backend systems.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience with BASH, Ansible, Python and Cisco Embedded Event Manager Scripting.
• Experience with DISA, ADNS and IC Networks.
• CCNP Cisco Certification.
