The Information Technology (IT) Network Operations Team establishes and maintains the technology infrastructure and application support services required by our analysts to deliver timely, objective, and cost-effective analysis. We design, develop, and deploy hardware- and software-based solutions in close coordination with SPA’s client-facing groups all while implementing the necessary measures to ensure network security and protect customer data.
SPA has an immediate opening for a Network Administrator.
Responsibilities:The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, monitoring, and managing enterprise networks with the objective to provide maximal uptime and robust security. Specific duties include building, installing, and configuring networking equipment, deploying and testing device operating systems; network troubleshooting; performance tuning; configuring devices and policies to reflect applicable Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs); documenting system architectures and configurations; and interfacing with teammates, managed service providers, and vendors to resolve complex issues. This position also requires the ability to communicate ideas, issues, technical solutions, and processes clearly to fellow teammates.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (may substitute with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience).
- Knowledge of IPv4, QoS, TCP, UDP, 802.1x, IPSec, BGP and other network communications protocols.
- Strong understanding of Cisco and Palo Alto networking technologies and demonstrated success applying these technologies in a Cisco & Microsoft environment.
- Experience configuring networks and networking technologies in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides.
- Ability to lead projects, self-manage time, and work both independently with minimal oversight and collaboratively in a team environment.
- U.S. Citizenship with a Top Secret (TS) Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with Cisco Identity Services Engine, Wi-Fi networks, Wireshark, Visio, Splunk, and other tools/applications.
- Experience with AZURE or Cloud based networking.
- DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 compliant certification for IAT/IAM Level II. Acceptable certifications include (but are not limited to) the following: CCNA Security, SySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC.
