Nakupuna Consulting is looking for full-time Environmental Specialists of varying levels of experience to work remotely, supporting the NEPA Environmental Review process for government contract. The primary responsibility is to classify and prepare Environmental Reviews (e.g., Categorical Exclusions, etc.), based on information and documentation provided by others.

- Review project information to classify projects to the appropriate level of NEPA (i.e., Categorical Exclusion, Environmental Assessment, etc.)
- Review project documentation provided by program applicants
- Prepare Environmental Reviews
- Prepare Environmental Justice (EJ) and Civil Rights Impact Analyses (CRIA)
- Coordinate with applicants (or their consultants), USDA staff, state agencies, etc., as necessary
- Senior Environmental Specialists will also be responsible for providing secondary quality review of teammates' work products
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Recent government employment or contracting experience is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of Environmental Compliance experience required.
- Minimum 1 year preparing Environmental Reviews preferred.
- Must have technical knowledge and familiarity with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), cultural and historic preservation laws, natural resource management laws, as well as Environmental Justice (EJ) and Civil Rights Impact Analysis (CRIA).
Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Tier 1 security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Location: These positions are remote, and the work may be performed at any location within the United States. Broadband internet access is required.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $50,000.00 to $67,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
