The following position will be in Houston, Texas.
Responsible for delivering annual NSV and DGP growth plan while driving profitable market share growth of Beam Suntory within the account both retail and on premise. Collaboratively work with distributor, buyer personnel for retail locations, while aligning with, customer operations, and customer marketing structures. The key will be to align our strategy to the customer’s strategies while collaborating with our internal marketing, category management and customer solutions to deliver the growth plans.
- Lead and develop annual business plan through coordination with distributor, customer, team personnel and brand owners.
- Develop collaborative planning meetings with the customer to drive planning, engagement, and long-term alignment.
- Align and engage with the Customer Solutions team to help drive actionable insights and planning, delivering growth for the customer.
- Create and execute strategy to deliver:
- NSV and DGP Growth – P&L Management
- Shelf Distribution Growth (baseline sales)
- Share of Display Growth (incremental sales)
- Distributor share of mind
- Manage distributor team in delivering:
- Sales Plans
- Execution of store level programs
- Annual KPI plans
- Cadence and clarity in communication to distributor execution teams
- Customer share of mind
- Plan, leverage, and maximize effectiveness of EG and BI Budgets
- Provide focused strategy and prioritization around brands and innovation, and the role of each within each account.
- Develop programming solutions with activation teams to sell into customer.
- Influence all stakeholders within Beam Suntory and wholesalers to ensure alignment and execution on our brand programming, commitments, and initiatives.
- Conduct business reviews with customer on quarterly basis to ensure alignment to and delivery of plans, as well as address any market specific issues.
- Deliver category solutions that provides incremental revenue and profits to both Beam Suntory and the customer, leading to an advisory role.
- Develop and leverage multiple points of contact within customer beyond the buyers.
- Lead business development and communication between Beam and customer
- Own the 1:1 relationship with distributor account leadership.
- Compliance with published spending guidelines/budgets
- Analyze and evaluate the promotional effectiveness of sales and marketing programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in marketing, field sales, promotional marketing or regional marketing
- 5+ years of complex cross functional team experience
- National/Chain Account headquarters contact experience desired
- Exceptional analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work strategic vs. and tactical plans
- Proficient computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
- Working knowledge of Anaplan
- A thorough understanding of category management and its applications
- Strong people and organizational skills to lead the organization.
- Up to 30% travel required for this role.
