Overview

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Database Administrator. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data, providing administrative support, and overseeing data migration. Database Administrator (DBA) will keep our databases up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Responsibilities:

• Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role.
• Design and implement database in accordance to end users’ information needs and views.
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
• Minimize database downtime and keep databases running 24/7.
• Manage transactions and indexes to ensure fast query responses.
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.

Required Skills:

• Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills that display an ability to explain and discuss complex analysis in a manner that can be understood by non-technical persons.
• Backup, recovery, cloning, replication, migration, clustering, upgrade, linked server skills required.
• Query writing skills along with stored procedure programming and maintenance experience required.
• InnoDB and MyISAM storage engines.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
• Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
• Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience in the telecommunication/call center business is preferred, with knowledge of Twilio and Telnyx.

Technical Skills:

• Cloud server experience (AWS, Azure)
• Linux and Windows
• Database: MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, Mongo DB
• Background in telecommunication/call center (xCally preferred)

WAH Requirements:

• PC/Laptop with at least Windows 10 (Apple/Mac products, Chromebooks, and tablets are not compatible)
• Hard wired high-speed internet connection (ethernet cable)
• USB-connected Headset
• Webcam
• Quiet dedicated place to work free from distraction.

Location: 100% remote. Must be US based.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $88,000.00 - $106,404.25 per year
