Mortgage Processor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. We are looking for someone who is ready to hustle and work for their business! As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the mortgage loan application process, ensuring that all documents are accurately collected, verified, and processed according to regulatory and company guidelines. Besides the processing side, you must be able to grow the business by bringing in new clients as well. You will be the key link between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders, ensuring a smooth and efficient loan origination process.

Responsibilities:

1. **Loan Document Review:** Review loan applications and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and industry standards.

2. **Verification:** Verify the accuracy of all applicant information, such as employment history, credit reports, income statements, and asset documentation.

3. **Communication:** Act as a point of contact for borrowers and loan officers, providing regular updates on the loan application's progress and addressing any questions or concerns.

4. **Coordination:** Coordinate with third-party service providers, including appraisers, title companies, and insurance providers, to obtain necessary documentation and ensure timely closings.

5. **Compliance:** Ensure loans meet all regulatory and compliance requirements, including RESPA, TILA, and other industry regulations.

6. **Data Entry:** Accurately input loan application information into loan origination systems, maintaining data integrity and security.

7. **File Management:** Maintain organized loan files, both in physical and electronic formats, ensuring proper record-keeping and documentation.

8. **Loan Submission:** Submit complete loan files to underwriters for review, providing any additional information as requested.

9. **Problem Solving:** Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the loan application process.

10. **Customer Service:** Provide excellent customer service to borrowers, answering questions, and guiding them through the loan process.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in related field preferred).

- Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or in a related role within the mortgage industry.

- Proficiency in mortgage loan origination software and tools.

- Strong knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and guidelines.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

- Familiarity with different loan programs (FHA, VA, conventional, etc.) is a plus.
