General Responsibilities / Job Summary:

The Mortgage Loan Processor will perform a variety of clerical and technical duties to assist mortgage applicants and clients. A successful mortgage processor must be detailed-oriented, have superb organization skills and be able to interact with Mortgage Loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to gather necessary paperwork and documentation to satisfy Mortgage Loan application requirements.

Essential Functions/Duties:

• Review and ensure that all customer files are complete and in compliance with regulatory agencies and internal policies.
• Work with the borrower to gather, review and/or follow-up on missing information to complete the Mortgage Loan application process.
• Order property and loan documentation such as appraisals, inspections, title searches, site surveys, contracts, and property tax records, etc. to help process Mortgage Loan files.
• Prepare and submit detailed loan packages to the lender underwriting department for approval or denial.
• Act as liaison between applicants, loan officers, and mortgage lending underwriters to help further loan approval.
• Understand and ensure loan files meet lending and regulatory guidelines and internal LINKBANK policies.
• Update loan files and maintain detailed documentation of the process in our system, from origination through loan settlement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deal tactfully, professionally, and effectively with customers, vendors and fellow team member.
• Strong analytical and time management skills
• Superior Attention to Detail
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities with clear direction from supervisor.
• Attention to detail, problem solving and the ability to be proactive.
• Must partner with management team to ensure effective compliance to Bank’s policies and procedures.
• Strong computer knowledge, MS Office and Encompass Mortgage Loan software required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years loan processing required. Experience in mortgage lending and knowledge of loan types, such as conventional, FHA, VA or USDA loans required.

Travel Requirements: Ability to travel within the LINKBANK footprint as needed.

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

• Must be able to verbally communicate instructions and information clearly, concisely, and accurately to our clients and other employees.
• Must be able to read and comprehend sometimes complex schedules, and details to process correspondence accurately, while providing exceptional client service.?
• Manual dexterity for the functional operation of office equipment, computer terminal, and other office equipment.?
• Must have visual acuity required to work at a computer terminal.?
• Mobility enough to coordinate activities in department and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
