Description:
Mercy Health Position Summary:
Perform a variety of support staff functions related to the care of patients and documenting services provided. Obtain necessary information, prepare relevant documents, record information in patient records and support other health care providers in the delivery of services to patients. Observe telemetry monitors and report dysrhythmias to the RN. Document strips of any importance and one strip per shift for each patient.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school graduation required. Basic EKG class and monitor orientation required.
2. Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations to complete necessary patient record documentation. Ability to collect and organize data into user-friendly formats.
3. Current BCLS Certificate.
4. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to meet position responsibilities.
5. Ability to apply continuous improvement methods in the delivery of patient services.
6. Ability to monitor quality indications as outlined.
7. Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of Mercy Health
