Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Mobile Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks and assisting with various projects to ensure the smooth operation and functionality of our facilities. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment, machinery, and systems to maintain their optimal performance. This includes replacement of light fixtures, ballasts, & bulbs, replacement & repair of ceiling tiles and ceiling grid, minor plumbing leak repairs and plumbing fixture replacement, drain work to include minor clogs, minor HVAC adjustments, as well as any other repair needed in a typical commercial building facility.
  • Respond to Maintenance Requests: Prioritize and address maintenance requests promptly, ensuring that repairs are completed efficiently and accurately. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and update maintenance records using cloud based Yardi work order system.
  • Carpentry and Painting: Perform basic carpentry repairs, such as repairing doors, windows, and hardware. Paint and touch up interior and exterior surfaces to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Conduct Preventive Maintenance: Carry out preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and systems to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Perform routine maintenance tasks as outlined in the preventive maintenance plan.
  • Assist with Project Implementation: Collaborate with project teams to support the execution of various projects, which may include renovations, installations, upgrades, or reconfigurations. Assist in project planning, coordination, and implementation to ensure successful project completion within established timelines.
  • Troubleshoot and Diagnose Issues: Investigate and diagnose equipment malfunctions and system failures, using a combination of technical knowledge, diagnostic tools, and problem-solving skills. Recommend and implement effective solutions to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment. Maintain adequate stock levels, order replenishments as needed, and track inventory usage to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Work Vehicle Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of work vehicle assigned for maintenance tasks. Ensure vehicle is properly maintained, serviced, and equipped with necessary tools and supplies. Coordinate vehicle scheduling and usage to support efficient operations.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Identify and mitigate potential hazards or risks during maintenance activities and project execution. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Equipment Calibration and Testing: Calibrate, test, and validate equipment to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Keep accurate records of calibration and testing activities, and schedule periodic calibrations to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Liaise with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to coordinate maintenance activities and project-related tasks. Provide clear and concise updates on progress, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders, including management and colleagues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is preferred.
  • Proven experience in commercial building maintenance, including knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance understanding.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work on-call or overtime, as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required; ability to operate and maintain work vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to pass background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
