Job Description
The Mine Geologist will work primarily on providing technical insight, new project development, and project management of geologic carbon storage and in-situ mineral recovery from geologic formations at mine sites using Eden's E-HF technology. The individual will provide technical support and insight into the day-to-day operations of an active mine site, geological/mineralogical characteristics of ore that may impact mill recoveries (e.g., comminution), and develop and implement strategic plans to optimize critical mineral resource recoveries for our laboratory and field-scale investigations. In this position, you will also assist in preparing proposals and grants for US funding opportunities and will be involved with the general R&D efforts of the Company.
Tasks
- Provide technical and project development support such as scoping, geologic feasibility, cost estimating, scheduling, etc., at possible mine sites where Eden's technologies may be employed;
- Support outreach and develop partnerships with mining companies to develop collaboration opportunities between Eden and the mining industry;
- Provide technical support and insights into the upstream to downstream (i.e., exploration to mineral beneficiation) operations and day-to-day operations of an active hard rock mine;
- Develop/execute field-scale sampling programs for accuracy and consistency, timely lab delivery;
- Compile and validate geologic data; including whole-rock results, downhole survey, geology logging and QAQC and other data collected during field operations;
- Prepare and present project updates, technical presentations, and reports for team members, clients, industry and academic partners;
- Prepare governmental reports, funding proposals, research papers, presentations, etc.;

- Experience with geological/mineralogical characteristics of ore that may impact mill recoveries (e.g., comminution);
- Experience with optimizing drill programs such that mineral resource estimates comply with industry norms for classification;
- Ability to coordinate field demonstration of Eden’s ERS tech with mining companies to not interfere with ongoing mine planning work with geology, dewatering, slope engineering, drill & blast, and general mine operations;
