Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Resource Specialist to join our Special Education team in a Middle School setting with a focus on students with Moderate to Severe disabilities. As an RSP, you will be responsible for working with an assigned caseload of students, ensuring they are on track to meet specified educational goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Please note that this role does not involve teaching core curriculum subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to implement and monitor IEP goals for assigned students.
- Provide targeted support to students with Moderate to Severe disabilities, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs.
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to promote academic success.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods and materials to support diverse learning styles.
- Work closely with the Special Education team to foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education credential in the state of California.
- Previous experience working with Middle School students with Moderate to Severe disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and regulations.
- Strong munication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
