WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mid-Level Environmental Scientist for our Vancouver, WA office.
The following locations will also be considered: Portland, OR; Bend, OR; and Tacoma/Seattle, WA.

Your Impact
- Conducting field surveys for vegetation, wildlife, wildlife habitat, and riverine features in the Pacific Northwest.
- Performing wetland delineations.
- NEPA/SEPA documentation processes, preparation, and analysis.
- Fisheries studies and fish monitoring.
- ESA compliance analysis and Biological Assessment preparation.
- Development of environmental permits, including federal CWA Sections 404/401; state and local permits.
- GIS mapping and data analysis.
- Assisting in business development for biological/environmental work.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Biology/Environmental Sciences/Water Resources Sciences and at least 3-5 years of professional experience, or MS in Biology/Environmental Sciences/Water Resources Sciences and at least 1-3 years of professional experience in environmental resource management.
- Knowledge of local plant, fish and/or wildlife species and their habitat requirements.
- Ability to research and prepare reports on environmental disciplines, regulations, and policies (NEPA/SEPA and ESA documentation).
- Experience with federal, state, and local environmental permitting regulations and processes.
- Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively with regulatory agency staff, co-workers, management, clients and the public.
- Strong personal organization skills, including the ability to deliver work products of multiple projects on time.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Proficiency with GPS equipment and ArcGIS software.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.

Expected Salary: $61,000 - $128,900
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
