The Y is seeking a part-time IT Support Technician to support our IT department. Under the direction of the Director of IT, this position is responsible for delivering technology resources to YMCA staff, volunteers, and program participants. This includes providing technical support to end users and performing equipment repairs as needed on computer equipment, software applications, and related accessories.
- Provide remote, over-the-phone, and on-site technical support for a wide variety of technology and respond to urgent support calls in a timely fashion.
- Complete basic repairs such as replacing a keyboard, correcting printer jams, etc.
- Complete advanced repairs such as troubleshooting software conflicts, analyzing network connectivity, or replacing internal hardware components.
- Install, maintain, and provide support for Microsoft Operating Systems, Office Suites, and other software programs.
- Manage user accounts.
- Manage a preventative maintenance plan for all equipment as appropriate including: routine inspections, scheduled cleaning, application of critical updates, and equipment replacement before failure initiatives.
- Provide regular reports on the status of projects to supervisor.
- Maintain and improve knowledge base in areas of technology relevant to YMCA initiatives.
- Perform other duties as needed.
