Senior It Support Technician

Job Function:

This position is the third level in the Support Department. It requires an advanced understanding of all hardware and software systems sold by System Integrations. This position supports all other technical positions inside of System Integrations. The highest levels of customer support and relationships are required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report to the Head of Support.
• Assist the Head of Support in demonstrating and promoting a high level of moral and consistency with company goals and standards within the Support Department.
• Be able to perform all duties and responsibilities of First and Second Level Support Technician positions.
• Provide the highest level of support for all systems sold by SI.
• Solve complex software/hardware/network configuration issues.
• Must document all work performed billable, non-billable and update Service Order tickets daily.
• Maintain ever-changing internal and external customer documentation.
• Project site visits as needed.
• Weekly departmental meetings.
• Perform other duties as requested.

The work ranges from sedentary to active. Depending on the assigned task, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work with some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. Many tasks may require carrying of moderate weight equipment, tools and parts, including ladders, drills, computers, monitors, etc. The employee is regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, type, manipulate very small to moderately-sized items, climb, stoop; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• A+ Certification
• Must have a High School Diploma (GED), and a Bachelor?s Degree in a technology field OR four years work experience in a technical field
• Must have the ability to schedule, lead and manage multiple team members against multiple projects.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly and accurately in the English language both written and orally, via telephone and face-to-face.
• Must have strong PC familiarity, and at least basic familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must have strong Microsoft Windows desktop and server system familiarity.
• Must have strong electronic power and communications component and system familiarity.
• Must maintain a good driving record with the ability to be insured.
