Metal Fabricator

Job Description:

Since 1984, Sundance Architectural Products, LLC has been employing industry leaders dedicated to providing superior quality turn-key solutions through custom design, manufacturing and installation of commercial awnings, canopies, solar shade systems, and decorative wall panels. Our specialties include welding, powder coating, and installation.

The Metal Fabricator coordinates and interfaces with the Production Manager. You'll be in charge of activities to ensure the on-time fabrication of products to satisfy the clients, within the quality standards. The fabricator reports to the Production Manager to accomplish production goals. We’re looking for someone who is strong-minded, goal-oriented, organized, and enthusiastic about meeting deadlines.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cutting Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel Materials
• Sizing proper cut length to match canopy needs
• Mechanical problem solving
• You will be self-motivated to make deadlines with quality workmanship

Qualifications: (Must be able to)

• Work 40-45 hours a week
• Work evenings/nights
• Comfortably work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortably work within deadlines
• Stay organized and explain results
• Be self-sufficient and self-reliant
• Have reliable transportation
• Clean driving record (driving with your team to the site for installation is required)
• Lift and/or push 80lbs occasionally
• Be on your feet for long periods of time
• ** Drug-Free Workplace (random drug testing is company policy)

Required Knowledge:

• Blueprint Reading
• Build off of the blueprints
• Microsoft Office - (basic knowledge)
• Apple products/Android products - (Basic knowledge of computers, laptops, Ipads, and tablets.)

Experience Required

• Minimum 3-5 years of blueprint reading experience in a commercial environment.

(Preferred Experience)

• AWS Welding Certified
• OSHA certification
• Fluency in Spanish/English

Education Required

• High School Diploma

(Preferred Education)

• A.A. Degree in Communications, Construction, Welding or equivalent degree.
