National Pike Health Center was founded in 2001 as a clinic dedicated to offering behavioral health counseling to the children, adolescents, adults, and families served. Decades later with 2+ locations, we are more committed than ever to providing these clients with quality, service, and a sense of community.
NPHC is community-based Outpatient Mental Health Center with offices in Catonsville and Dundalk. We provide Mental Health therapy and a psychiatric rehabilitation program (PRP) for all ages and groups. A multidisciplinary team of outstanding Mental Health Therapists, psychiatrists, rehabilitation coordinators, and administrative staff join us on this mission. From inception to through treatment, there is an ongoing planning and review of each case until the client is discharged. Our preventative and therapeutic outpatient Mental Health services provide treatment and psychiatric rehabilitation based on continually monitored and individualized treatment and/or rehabilitation goals.
Description of Role:
The National Pike Health Center Mental Health Therapist/Clinicians utilize their skills to provide therapy services within the school setting and communities. The services offered along with time and location are based on the individual needs of each client and family. Clinicians are given the opportunities to be flexible and creative to meet the clinical needs of their caseloads. Clinicians provide individual, family and group therapy. Clinicians are expected to maintain billing targets for reimbursement of services.
We have current openings for 1099 (contractual) Mental Health Therapists (full-time/part-time) in our Dundalk and Catonsville locations.
Qualifying applicants must have a Master’s Degree & one of the following board certified licenses:
Master's Degree and MD. State approved licenses:
LCSW-C, LCSW, LCPC-S, LCMFT and LCPC
LMSW, LMFT or LGPC requires @ least three (3) times a month by a LCPC or LCSW-C

Navigates the fluid environment and systems within the school community for opportunities to provide education regarding Mental Health. Effectively juggles direct care, documentation, care coordination, administrative duties, and outreach. Flexibility, self-motivation and creativity to work independently at site. Capable of meeting billable targets
Employee Development:
Continues to seek growth opportunities and is open to developing as a clinician and employee. Able to adapt to work with multiple people and systems. Willingness to learn and coachable to engage with feedback cycle. Able to utilize conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Therapists are expected/required to:
- Be professional and ethical when handling client’s issues.
- Turn in their reports/notes on a weekly basis that meet COMAR regulations.
- Therapy sessions may be performed onsite or offsite; sessions are to last 45 minutes minimum.
- Therapists are to follow all policies pertaining to: Diagnostic (Dx) Evaluations , Treatment (Tx) Planning , Clinical Services, Referrals, & Discharge Planning must be done in a timely manner. Incident Reports & Crisis Plans should be completed as needed.
- Therapists are required to participate in agency meetings, trainings, as well as maintain a current state mandated license to practice within their scope of practice.
- Therapists are required to provide agency with updated personnel records necessary for the maintenance of agency’s human resources files.
- Therapists are required to sign agency confidentiality agreement, and comply with HIPAA regulations as it relates to National Pike Health Center Inc. medical records.

Work Schedule: Option to work Remotely, In-person face-to face or Hybrid. (Most Therapists are working remotely at this time).

- The potential to earn an additional $1,000.00 a month with billable hours (28) are met for full-time Mental Health Therapist.
- Two weeks on-the-job training
- Referrals - After 90 day probation, you are eligible to get $500 CASH bonus when referring other clinicians. You'll receive compensation once they complete their 90-day probationary period.
Compensation: $60 to $65 Per clinical note
