Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health professional to join our team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities and Mental Health conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients in their daily activities and help them achieve their treatment goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities and Mental Health conditions
- Implement treatment plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document patient behavior and progress
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques when necessary
- Facilitate group activities and therapy sessions, including art therapy
- Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans
- Conduct research related to Mental Health disorders and treatment methods
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or Mental Health conditions is preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles is a plus
- Familiarity with medical terminology and psychopharmacology is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating with the healthcare team
