Blue Sea Educational Consulting is seeking Mental Health Counselors, Social Workers, and Psychologists to contribute to our growing team.
This is an independent contracting (1099) position to provide Mental Health and related services to students (K-12) and their families across Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island.
We enable our professionals to build individualized and flexible caseloads, and offer experiences in treating a wide variety of presenting issues and comorbidities, such as anxiety, depression, school refusal behaviors, ODD, ADHD, and ASD. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated professionals to help foster an interdisciplinary approach to student growth and wellness.
Qualifications
- Masters in Counseling, Social Work, School Counseling, Psychology, School Psychology and related disciplines
- Licensed or Licensed eligible
- Master’s Degree or higher in related field
General Responsibilities Include:
- Knowledge and delivery of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
- Providing therapeutic services for students and/or their families in a variety of settings to include, but not limited to: school settings, home and other school-based/clinical environments.
- Managing and maintain a clinical caseload independently and efficiently with the use of company templates and timelines.
- Developing behavior-focused interventions in coordination with assigned students IEP to improve in areas of deficits and reduce areas that impede learning and progress.
- Completion of comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaboration with all stakeholders including other family members, school staff and administration, outside therapists/medical professionals as needed.
- Helping clients achieve growth by establishing and working toward achieving positive measurable outcomes.
- Knowledge and ability to perform services following HIPAA/FERPA compliant guidelines
- Attending and participating in CSE and other Team Meetings as needed
Additional Experience in the Following is a Plus:
- Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
- The development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
For Licensed Psychologists, Additional Requirements Are as Follows:
- Psychological Testing, Evaluation, Analyses and Report Writing
- For Testing/Evaluations, candidate should have experience and proficiency with:
- Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale: Fifth Edition
- Woodcock-Johnson IV Tests of Achievement Form A and Extended Battery
- Behavior Assessment System for Children-BASC-3
- Wechsler Individual Achievement Test, Third Edition-WIAT III
