Job Summary
Provides clinical behavioral therapy services to adolescent and adult clients, and families. Counsels and provides crisis intervention for clients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems. Coach clients on how to manage ongoing health conditions and provides therapy to help clients make positive behavior changes. This person will work as a member of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team and be familiar with other services and resources within our Agency and in the community.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides Mental Health assessment, diagnostics, treatment planning and psychotherapy
- Provides counseling specific to developmental needs (substance use, risk reduction, family planning, school/work issues and family/relationship issues)
- Uses an evidenced-based approach for counseling sessions
- Maintains assigned case loads
- Maintains calendar and appointment schedule
- Advocates for patients’ needs within the healthcare system and with community agencies
- Maintains all necessary documentation and records in accordance with all regulatory authorities in a timely manner
- Actively participates as part of the weekly clinical staff, monthly at-risk, and quarterly QI/QA meetings
- Meets measurable performance and productivity goals
- Maintains all professional licensure required (for billing purposes)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Ability to work independently, as well as with a team
- Must have strong listening and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – compassionate and empathetic
- Ability to accept feedback through supervision process
- Must support Agency mission of providing best-practice behavioral health including support of our cultural and growth initiatives through communication, accountability, and positivity.
Work Experience and Education
- Work Experience: Clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Education: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or other relevant human service profession. LCSW, LMHC, or PhD preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Maintain credentials and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of Harmonia credentialing staff.
Working Conditions/Environment
- This position requires both working in an office setting in a behavioral health clinic and working in a home-based office, providing in-person and telehealth counseling services. Office environments are expected to be clean, organized, and professional. Some evening hours are expected, no weekends. Travel in the community for meetings and collaboration as needed.
