We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Membership Services & Communications to join our team. As the Director of Membership Services & Communications, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to enhance our organization's reputation and promote our mission. This is a leadership role that requires exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to support organizational goals and objectives
- Oversee the creation and distribution of all external communications materials, including press releases, member emails and newsletters
- Manage social media platforms and develop engaging content to increase brand awareness and engagement with members
- Conduct research on industry trends and target audiences to inform communication strategies
- Collaborate with internal staff to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
- Provide guidance and support to staff members
- Monitor and analyze communication efforts to measure effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
Skills:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in social media management platforms and experience developing engaging content
- Demonstrated experience in writing, media relations, and public relations
- Strong research skills to gather relevant information for communication strategies
- Ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and platforms
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently speak in public settings
