Job Description: Member Service Representative

DUTIES: The duties of this position include the performance of all Member Service tasks and daily operations.
1. Member teller transactions which include deposits, withdrawals, transfers.
2. Opening new accounts and closing of member accounts.
3. Update member account information as requested (change of address, etc)
4. Member account research- stop payments, balance checkbooks, past history, explanation of how member accounts work.
5. Disburse loans to members as required by loan officer.
6. Assist loan officer in maintaining current loan files (insurance, UCC1, Titles, etc.)
7. Assist loan Supervisor with collections as needed.
8. Cross sell Member Services.
9. Supervise evening closing, make sure all procedures are followed, security in place
10. Take advantage of all education and training materials made available to staff.
11. Any other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications: Associate (preferred). Knowledge of basic accounting, calculation of interest, and analysis of member financial statements (preferred).
**Candidate must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, and be people friendly. Must have excellent communication skills to include, but not limited to: composing simple letters, generating and understanding reports, providing technical information to members about available credit union services, and very comfortable answering the phone.**

Experience:
- Banking: 1 year (Preferred)
- Cash handling: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
The hours for this position may vary from 7:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., but open to accommodate your reasonable schedule requests if agreeable to business needs.
Hours will be Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts
Job Status: Non-exempt; Reports to: Manager
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
