By offering a multitude of services, our patients don’t have to worry about navigating their care with multiple practices. One such service is CT Imaging for patients To help support this department, we are looking for a CT/Diagnostic Imaging Scheduler to join our patient care team. Working out of our Rose Quarter Cancer Center, this person will help to coordinate CT appointments for our West Cancer Center, Rose Quarter Clinic, as well as our Mobile CT Unit. Medical office experience, especially with radiologic or diagnostic imaging experience, would be incredibly helpful for this person to find success. More importantly, though, this person needs to be a quick learner, highly organized, and maintain high levels of customer service even in the most chaotic of situations.

 

Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 hr/week
Location: Rose Quarter Cancer Center 

Salary: $17.85-$25.81 Per Hour
JOB SCOPE:        

Under general supervision, performs all clerical, secretarial and data management functions of the CT/Diagnostic Imaging department. Assists with all duties in regard to authorization, reimbursement and maintains relationships with other specialty providers involved in patient care. Initiates and/or maintains accurate logs of all patients referred for scans. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports CT scheduling and coordination for all clinical sites.
  • Obtains authorization from insurance carrier for all required/special services.
  • Works with CT Technologists, referring physicians, and multiple sites to ensure that information is received on a timely basis.
  • Gathers and verifies all specialty billings. Maintains expense logs up to date for each case. Monitors accounts closely for correct billing and proper account setup for start and stop dates for case rate, including account follow up on all unpaid and incorrect paid claims.
  • Monitors and updates changes made by insurance carriers to ensure correct billing and timely payments.
  • Works collaboratively with finance, administration, and program staff to refine billing tracking and collections systems.
  • Maintains patient data files for easy retrieval and review. Prepares weekly patient tracking forms and submits electronically; distributes appropriately.
  • Provides initial triage of incoming phone calls to the CT program.
  • Accurate ordering of department materials and supplies.
Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer one to three (1-3) years in one or more of the following areas:
    • Medical Office Scheduling
    • Diagnostic Scheduling
    • Medical transcription
    • Medical assistance
