Looking for Medical Assistants to join our team.
The Front Desk Receptionist at PPCA is responsible for greeting all patients and office visitors, answering all incoming calls, identify and address caller needs, and scheduling/confirming/cancelling appointments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer phones
- Schedule appointments
- Insurance verification
- Patient Check in and Check out
- Co-payment and deductible assessment and collection
- Confirming Appointments
- EMR utilization
- Assist providers and co-workers as needed
- Ensure waiting room is clean and presentable at all times
- Greet patients, vendors, and any visitors
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED required
- 1 year related experience required
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Able to handle multiple tasks at any given time
- A firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times. Complies with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
- Bilingual (English -Spanish), preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
