Job Opening:

Medical Receptionist - Patient Check-in/Check-out/Answering -Phones

Full Time - Monday through Thursday 8:30 am-5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm, no weekends or Holidays.

Medical Office Experience preferred for position.

Qualifications:

· One-year prior work experience, preferably in a medical office setting

· Must be a high school graduate

· Must demonstrate knowledge of medical business office procedures

· Must be courteous, friendly, diplomatic, tactful, and always professional when dealing with patients, physicians, visitors and staff

· Clear written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to multi task

· Ability to work well with others

· Strong customer service skills

· Effective skills with multi line phone system and computer/word processing systems

· Basic understanding of insurance carriers and explanation of benefits

Job Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner

· Answer multi-line phone system, take messages, provide information as needed

· Greet and check patients in and out for appointments

· Updates insurance information and demographics in records as necessary

· Collects insurance copays/deductibles/coinsurance each visit

· Obtains prior authorizations and verify benefits as needed

· Ability to assist patients with account balances as needed

· Maintain appropriate scheduling process and policies

· Performs clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, faxes, letters

· Communicates effectively and professionally with providers, co-workers, management and patients

· Follows company policies and procedures with special attention to HIPAA

· Other duties as assigned to promote efficient practice operation

Education:

· High school diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
