Job Description:
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting and registering patients, answering the telephone, and scheduling appointments. They will also be responsible managing messages between patients and physicians. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and efficient.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets patients and verifies their information with a positive attitude.
- Collects payment and enters into medical records system.
- Checks patient out of office and collects required documentation.
- Answers incoming calls; provides excellent patient care; responds to patient questions.
- Completes various administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, faxing, scanning etc.
- Maintains office cleanliness; stock supplies; maintains inventory of stock supplies; reports shortages or needs for repairs or replacements of office equipment; reports changes in working conditions or personnel; performs other duties as required or requested by management.
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Medical Receptionist experience preferred.
- Teachable
