Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians and staff, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. The ideal candidate will have experience with excel, word processing, office scheduling systems, have a basic understanding of medical practice operations and strong communications skills and have reliable transportation.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Maintain business office inventory and equipment
-Contributes to the administration and physician team efforts by responding timely to physician and administrative requests.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and updating reporting as directed.
- Process mail, correspondence and retrieve same from hospital call environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems such as Epic
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not required
