- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using Athena
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information regarding services, procedures, and policies
- Coordinate with office staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Manage patient flow in the waiting area to minimize wait times
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist is preferred
- Proficiency in using Athena
- Strong knowledge of medical scheduling systems and phone systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records
