Medical Receptionist

PhysioHealth PT is seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a medical office environment. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and delivering exceptional patient care.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect patient co-pays and process payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments
- Assist with patient registration and check-in/check-out processes
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails
- Manage the front desk area, ensuring cleanliness and organization

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office is preferred
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with EMR systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
