Medical Receptionist

```Duties```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in person and over the phone
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records using electronic health record systems such as Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

```Qualifications```
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult or upset patients
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, and fax machines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.77 - $20.20 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
