Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Pay Grade: $16-$20 per hour based on experience.
Entry level position: The right candidate will possess great customer service skills, be able to handle heavy volume while accurately performing tasks, excellent communication skills and work as part of a team. The Medical Receptionist serves as liaison between patient and medical support staff. Qualified candidates will be able to perform the following duties independently:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
1. Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner. Directs them to appropriate area.
2. Checks-in patients. Verifies information and updates information in computer system.
3. Performs insurance verification. Updates in computer system using Epic EMR.
4. Answers the telephone timely, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information in a courteous and helpful manner.
5. Makes appointments and maintains schedule according to office scheduling policy.
6. Collects co-pay and/or payments according to insurance plan and posts payment.
7. Balances all monies received from patients.
Receptionist experience (preferably in the medical field) required. Strong customer service skills. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
