Desert Eye Specialists LTD is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their team in Sun City & Peoria, Arizona.
Desert Eye Specialists LTD got established in 1976. Optometrist Jeslyn Vayalil joined the practice in 2021.
About the Job:
In the Medical receptionist role, you will assist patients before they see their doctors. A key element in performing this role is to multitask so you can accomplish all clerical tasks promptly. Success in this role will be demonstrated by ensuring patients are directed to their designated areas as quickly as possible.
Salary: $17.00 - $20.00
Shift: 7.30 AM – 4.30 PM (Monday-Friday) & Thursday 6.30 AM – 4.30 PM
Job Duties:
- Greets patients in the facilities and over the phone.
- Assists doctors, nurses, and patients.
- Schedules doctors’ appointments for patients.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks.
- Prepares medical files.
- Check-in & check-out of the patients.
- Collects co-pay or co-insurance.
- Maintains and keeps patient information confidential.
- Maintains medicinal supplies and equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma.
- At least 6 months of experience being a receptionist at a medical facility.
- Background in the healthcare sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional multitasking and time management skills
- Nextech experience is a plus.
