Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations of the office
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental software for scheduling and record keeping
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy
