Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Register new patients and update existing patient information
- Schedule appointments and manage the provider's calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth operations of the front desk

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a medical office is a plus
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and billing procedures is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
