We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong setting.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule patient appointments using our electronic scheduling system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about our services
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Familiarity with dental office operations and Dentrix or Eaglesoft software is highly desirable
- Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
