We are looking for a qualified Medical Office Manager to run our medical facility. You will be responsible for day-to-day operation and maintaining medical and staff records.
As a Medical Office Manager, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations.
Our position requires knowledge of healthcare systems operations.
Billingual Spanish skills will be a preference
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the scheduling of appointments and patient flow to optimize efficiency and minimize wait times.
- Overseeing the billing and coding process to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Supervising administrative staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Developing and implementing office policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining inventory of office supplies and equipment, and coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Handling patient complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new healthcare providers and staff.
- Participating in meetings and committees to provide input on strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
Knowledge of business and accounting processes usually obtained from an Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Health Care Administration.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years in a Medical Office setting.
- Two to three years in a supervisory or management position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience in all aspects of billing.
- Knowledge of regulations related to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
- Human resources experience in hiring, supervision, and performance reviews
- Knowledge of HIPAA and labor law
- Strong customer service skills
- Skill in writing policies and procedures
- Skill in using healthcare software and computer systems
- Knowledge of maintaining supplies and equipment for the medical setting.
- Multitasking skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Professional communication and presentation skills, including face to face, email, telephone, and video conference.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: Up to $55,000.00 per year
