At Brazosport Women’s Health, we combine passion and professionalism to provide state-of-the-art gynecological and urogynecological care right here in the heart of Brazoria County at our office in Lake Jackson.We are looking for an Office Manager to join our team!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring excellent customer service both internally and externally
- Responsible for all billing functions.
- Assesses current and future staffing needs to ensure efficient patient flow
- Ensures staff is adequately trained to perform defined job duties
- Monitors patient volume and staff performance to identify areas for improvement and efficiency
- Ensures practice costs are maintained through effective planning
- Orders, stocks, and maintains adequate inventories of all medical and office supplies
- Manages time reporting for staff
- Manages employee issues and resolves grievances
- Assists with interviewing and onboarding process of new hires
- Conducts disciplinary and termination meetings as needed
- Provides coverage as needed
- Resolves patient complaints
- Responsible for charges generated from patient visits and services
- Acts as a liaison between the clinic and MSO for support and administrative matters
- Follows HIPAA guidelines
- Other duties as required
Interpersonal Skills & Attributes
- Knowledge of relevant medical terminology in order to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients
- Knowledge of basic office procedures
- Ability to accurately enter patient data into office software
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and office personnel
- Ability to anticipate and react calmly to emergent situations
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to think logically in order to troubleshoot, analyze situations, and make appropriate decisions
- Ability to handle oneself in a professional manner
Experience:
- 1+ year of experience in a clinical setting in a supervisory/managerial role
- 1+ year of Athena EMR experience (Preferred)
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
