Position Summary
Performs pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes for moderate and high complexity testing
St. John Medical Center is a 204-bed full-service facility serving the health care needs of the residents of western Cuyahoga and eastern Lorain counties
This position is a generalist role working in a community hospital, testing for chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood gas and blood bank.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor/Associate degree in biological, chemical science, clinical laboratory science. Must meet course attendance to meet CLIA guidelines to perform high complexity testing
Graduate from a certified MT/MLT program. Preferred
Certification:
MT/MLT - ASCP certification, required after one year from date of hire
Education
- Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory technology Required and
- Associates in biological, chemical science. Required
Work Experience
- previous experience preferred

- Thorough knowledge of testing procedures and quality standards. Required
