RECEPTION/SCHEDULER JOB DESCRIPTION AT FOREST CITY DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING
- Responsible for answering telephone and directing calls appropriately
- Assists callers in any way possible, routing to appropriate personnel within the
- Maintains complete and accurate telephone messages for department personnel ensuring accurate routing of messages.
- Maintains Schedules and appointments for the department to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Schedules appointments for patients according to established procedures.
- Obtains appropriate data to facilitate accurate interpretation of examination being performed.
- Coordinates multiple examinations schedules.
- Inputs data into database.
- Screens patients for safety in scheduling MRI and CT Scan.
- Obtain any images and report from prior imaging studies patients have had done.
- Obtain outside lab work results for patients
- Checks in all patients and obtains appropriate data.
- Makes copies of all necessary paperwork for patients chart.
- Scans appropriate paperwork for electronic copy of patients chart.
- Verifies that all data entered in computer is entered correctly and accurately to ensure that billing will be processed correctly.
4 .Maintains and manages all patient records.
4.1 Daily filing of records
4.2 Pull all records of previous patients for scheduled exams
4.3 Assist Referring physician office with request for imaging or reports.
- Assists patients when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and department records according to HIPAA standards
- Responsible for working some evenings and Saturdays (occasionally)
- Shift is Monday and Tuesday 2-10 PM, Wednesday and Thursday 9:30AM -6PM
- Friday 8:30-5:00 PM
- Floating Saturdays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
