Medical Front Office Receptionist - Experienced Only ($22-$26 Ft)

Job Description

Busy Reconstructive Plastic Surgery office is in need of an experienced (medical experience only) and highly organized front desk receptionist.

Must have experience in

• Scheduling for multi providers (8 providers)
• Managing insurance information and able to call insurance companies, if needed
• Obtaining benefits and eligibility information online
• Understanding IN, OON, and OOP principles
• Accepting payments and able to explain esthetic package treatments for skincare dept

And have pleasant professional demeanor with great customer service

• Experience with Nextech or Modern Med is preferred.

Must have at minimum 2 years experience in a medical office with excellent communications skills, including email/telephone etiquette and EMR experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated person looking to have a positive impact on the practice.

If you recently graduated from college and are considering medical or PA school, this is a great opportunity to learn firsthand to work with our wonderful team. 2 year office experience requirement may be waived.

Job Types: Full Time (4-5 days)

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the office
• Close out financials each day
• Manage scheduling of multiple providers (8)
• Monitoring the schedule for conflicts and patient flow issues
• Understand different insurance types and when referrals are needed
• Being a point person for scheduling and guiding patient questions
• Help check out patients, inviting them to schedule their next appointments, accepting payments

Skills

• Knowledge of Nextech Practice Management software is preferred
• Minimum Associate Degree, Bachelors degree preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft/Google Suite
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures preferred
• Knowledge of cosmetic injectables, lasers, & procedural protocols preferred
• Ability to convert phone calls into consultations
• Open to new technology and having growth/process improvement mindset
• Ability to provide warm and welcoming environment for our patients
