Faculty Physicians is a Podiatry and Surgical Wound Care group in East TN. We are professional, supportive, and challenging and our goal is to Hire employees that will enhance the family culture of our practice. This position is for the Lafollette Office.
Our medical office is looking for an experienced Medical Office patient service Representative to help support Front Office operations. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, have strong communication skills, and be proficient at performing administrative tasks. Candidates must have prior Medical Front Office experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Athena experience is preferred in candidates
Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone calls and greet patients in a professional manner.
- Enter all patient information in the EMR
- Do Insurance verification and chart preps prior to clinic day
- Be the first point of contact between patients and medical staff.
- Record patient information correctly and send to nurses and other staff as required, in a timely manner
- Answer medical, billing, and insurance questions and direct calls to the right department as needed
- Receive, retrieve, and sort patient information.
- Schedule appointments.
- Schedule medical procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the management
