Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team. Must be proficient in both the English and Spanish language. The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative tasks, medical receptionist duties, medical scheduling, and possess knowledge of medical terminology. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
- Maintain patient records and update information in electronic systems (e.g., Modernizing Medicine)
- Respond to medical records requests from patients and outside companies
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Previous experience as a clinic receptionist or medical Office Assistant preferred
- Proficient in using office software systems (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in the english and spanish language preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Location: Hybrid. Clinic setting with ability to work from home part time.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
