Role Overview:
The Medical Device Assembler role will assemble Medical Devices in a Controlled Environment Room (CER) / Cleanroom and electronics assembly in a static-controlled environment. You will follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) and document work on lot history records (LHRs). Initially, you will build units to support research, development, and clinical trials. You may occasionally be asked to help with receiving inspection and verification testing.
The position will report to the company’s Senior R&D Engineer in San Diego, California.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assemble Medical Devices
- Follow detailed process instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Perform in-process quality control checks
- Package and label completed devices for shipping
- Accurately complete history records for each process
- Assist in training new staff as needed
- Assist with maintenance and cleaning of assembly space
- Perform inspection of incoming components and assemblies
- Assist with process and design development
- Other duties, as requested
Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years of assembly experience
- Verbal and written communication in English
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Familiarity with requirements of traceability and quality control
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently

- Good dexterity for small parts assembly and use of adhesives
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms
