A health care Call Center Representative handles high volume inbound and outbound calls from other healthcare facilities and patients, scheduling appointments, answering questions, or addressing any concerns a patient may have.
Call Center Representatives complete customer service tasks that ensure patients have the information and assistance they need and maintain the company’s positive reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Take patient calls and provide an excellent patient experience
- De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients, offering assistance or support
- Call patients and healthcare facilities to reschedule appointments or obtain necessary information/records
- Collaborate with other Call Center professionals to improve patient and professional services
- Screen patient calls to better direct patient concerns in the right direction
- Understand commercial health insurance and basic medical terminology
- Help to train new employees and inform them about the company protocols.
- Maintain a high level of customer service at all times
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information following office HIPAA protocol
Requirements:
- Must be bilingual, Spanish and English
- 1+ years continuous recent experience performing described job responsibilities
- Working knowledge of medical office procedures
- Proficiency with MS Office, databases and EHR systems
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Must be well-spoken, computer-savvy, and able to efficiently and effectively multitask.
- Must be knowledgeable in all types of insurances.
- Must have reliable source of transportation.
- *Experience with Athena EHR system is preferred*
