Medical Billing/Collections Specialist

Seeking a Medical Collections Specialist to join our billing team. This position’s primary responsibility is to monitor and manage outstanding patient balances. Candidate will also be cross-trained with other billing personnel in order to assist with work over-flow or to fill in as needed in their absence.

Primary Responsibilities

· Communicate directly with patients regarding their financial responsibility for services and answer billing questions.

· Collect and process patient payments.

· Manage outstanding self-pay A/R by utilizing aging reports and collection modules.

· Work with insurance to resolve claim issues.

· Contact delinquent accounts.

· Establish payment arrangements per company policy.

· Cross-train with other billing personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
