Skills and Qualifications
· 3-5 years Medical Billing experience
· 2-3 years of Experience in Billing Software functionality.
· Strong competency with EXCEL and other Microsoft products.
· Familiar with CPT/HCPC Codes
· In addition to primary billing responsibilities, the candidate will also be trained to perform other duties; such as, assisting in collection and client responses.
· High School Diploma
· Preference: Billing Certification or Associates degree
Duties and Responsibilities
· Strong time management and organizational skills.
· Demonstrates the ability to compile, manage, and execute daily Billing assignment.
· Display knowledge of Billing 3rdparty payers, Worker’s Compensation and Physical Therapy.
· Resolve discrepancies with physician coding/documentation in order to process rejected claims.
· Display knowledge and understanding of Benefit verifications, CPT, ICD-10, clean claims and all facets of medical billing.
· Reviews and edits Pre-billing for daily claim release to providers.
· Executes complex bills in a timely manner.
· Preparation of electronic and paper claims (1500)
· Proficiency: Handles a high volume of bills per month
· Effectively interacts and communicates with varied personnel for claim resolution.
· Researches and responds to inquiries in a timely manner regarding billing issues and problems as they arise.
· Assists with special projects as needed within the department.
· Ability to work in a high pace environment.
· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
