We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. This position requires strong knowledge of medical coding, terminology, and billing systems. Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG) to diagnoses and procedures
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary
- Process payments received from insurance companies or patients
- Maintain accurate records of all billing activities
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding and billing regulations
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Experience with medical office software and billing systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
