SalaryOverview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. Your expertise in medical coding, collection, and billing processes will contribute to the financial success of our medical office. Duties: - Review and analyze medical records and documentation to assign appropriate codes using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary - Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and obtain payment information - Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records in electronic systems - Process payments from patients, insurance companies, and other third-party payers - Generate reports on billing activities, including outstanding balances and collections Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications: - Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role - Proficiency in medical coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10) - Familiarity with Medical Billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers Join our team as a Medical Biller and contribute to the smooth operation of our medical office while ensuring accurate billing for our patients' healthcare services.
