Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately reviewing coding medical procedures and diagnoses, assisting third party billing company in submitting claims to insurance companies, and ensuring timely reimbursement for medical services provided. We are an interventional pain management clinic with three locations. We are looking for a dynamic new team member to be a part of our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify patient information and medical records for accuracy
- Review appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG) to procedures and diagnoses as appropriate
- Work with third party billing company to follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and obtain payment
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate documentation of services provided
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations

Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Billing or coding with pain management
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems
- Familiarity with medical records management and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
